Unlike many of Disney's lackluster sequels, Cinderella III takes a bold risk by tampering with the classic storyline. The plot focuses on Cinderella's stepmother, Lady Tremaine, stealing the Fairy Godmother’s wand, reversing time to the day the Grand Duke arrived with the glass slipper. She fixes the slipper onto Anastasia (the younger step-sister) and forces the King to accept her as the Prince's bride.
