On many common Renault models (like the Clio or Grand Scenic equipped with the 1.5 dCi engine), DF084 relates to the EGR valve. It indicates that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) is not receiving the correct voltage signals from the EGR position sensor. This means the valve is likely stuck, clogged with carbon, or its electrical circuit is compromised.
